ATIKU ABUBAKAR SIGNS PEACE ACCORD, REITERATE HIS COMMITMENT TO A PEACEFUL ELECTION

The presidential candidate of the people’s Democratic party today Wednesday, the 12th of December 2018 signed the peace accord organised under the chairmanship of the former head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar… Mr ATiku Abubakar of the PDP was supposed to have signed the peace accord alongside other candidates of the various political parties yesterday (tuesday the 11th) in Abuja, the nation’s capital,  but was strikingly absent from the event, and when contacted through his spokesman, it was learned that he didn’t receive a prior invitation…
But roughly 24hours after, all seems to have been put in order as the presidential candidate signed the accord the following day, in a statement on his official twitter account, he con
firmed this saying..”@atiku: Earlier today, I appended my signature to the Peace Accord. I also urged the President to sign the Electoral Act Amendment Bill into law. #LetsGetNigeriaworking”…,
We hope this much debated peace accord will always remind these candidates of various parties vying for the various positions to act in a conscionable manner during these period of elections..
